A poll of 2,000 adults found the daily grind of working coupled with the poor British weather and a lack of excitement means many have looked into uprooting their lives.
And the average adult spends 12 minutes a day dreaming of a more exciting or adventurous job – more than an hour a week or the equivalent of more than two days a year.
Four in ten have even looked into moving abroad, while one in twenty have gone one step further and applied for visas to get them to their dream country or career.
And archaeology was named the adventurous job Brits would most like to get into, along with being a treasure hunter, law enforcement officer or animal wrangler.
The survey was commissioned to launch TV series, Swamp People (series 3), airing on BLAZE (Freeview channel 63), which follows the adventures of real-life ‘swampers’ who make a living hunting alligators in the dangerous swamplands of Louisiana.
